Current Stitching Project

I'm working on a pair of pillowcases. I finished stitching the dogs last night. It turned out so cute I had to share a picture. This is was taken right after I unhooped it. Isn't it adorable?

The second one is playful cats. Hope to start the stitching tonight. The pattern for this project is coming soon. It will be introduced at Spring Quilt Market in Kansas City this May.

I'm amazed at how fast this project goes. These designs were traced onto the fabric with a Red Micron Pigma Pen. You could also combine two pieces of Stitcky Fabri-Solvy and put the designs onto the fabric that way. Once the design is on the fabric all you need is a hoop, a needle and a ball of  DMC Perle Cotton #498 - Turkey Red, or any other color you might like. You might want a Perle Cotton Bubble too so the thread doesn't get tangled while you stitch. Then  you're good to go. It is a fantastic take along project!

You can make your own pillowcases from White Muslin but we also have some gorgeous Hemstitched Pillowcases that you might like.

Happy Sitching!

  1. Aren't you always at shows. Embroidery must be what you do to pas the hours at all the hotels. My wife likes to do craft work when she goes with me to school board conventions or what ever. I tend to veg in front of the tv.

  2. Yes Peter. I am at shows most of the time. This is what I do in the car on the way to and from shows when I'm not working on my computer. This is a sample to hang in my booth when the new pattern is ready in a couple weeks. Stitching is a great for a take along project. I'm like your wife. I can work on it while my husband is sitting in front of the tv.
